About Anthony DiLauro

Anthony DiLauro, MSW, serves as the accomplished Executive Director of the Human Services Council, leveraging over two decades of experience in non-profit management. His impressive career includes notable leadership roles, such as Executive Director of Read to Grow, the sole statewide early literacy organization in Connecticut, and the Futures in Education Foundation and Endowment Fund, dedicated to providing scholarships, tuition assistance, and programmatic support for parochial elementary and secondary schools in New York City.

Mr. DiLauro is widely recognized for his impactful tenure as the Executive Director of the New York affiliate of Father Flanagan’s Boys Town Inc., a charitable organization committed to delivering education and social services to families in need. Over his 10-year stewardship, Boys Town extended comprehensive services to more than 5,000 at-risk youth in New York City, leaving an enduring positive imprint on the community.

In November of 2015, Mr. DiLauro was appointed to the Council on Medical Assistance Program Oversight through the Department of Social Services, showcasing his commitment to contributing at a systemic level. His extensive experience working with community organizations in Fairfield County and his nuanced understanding of the Medicaid Managed Care program position him as a valuable asset to the council.

Mr. DiLauro’s academic background includes the attainment of his Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Connecticut, underscoring his commitment to a holistic and informed approach to human services. His leadership and expertise significantly enhance the Human Services Council’s capacity to fulfill its mission and positively impact the communities it serves.
