The mission of the Norwalk Mentor Program is to encourage the social, academic and mental growth of Norwalk’s youth through a one-on-one mentoring relationship; where _a caring adult serves as a role model to a student as he or she goes through a difficult period or faces new challenges.

Helping Enrich Relationships of Every Student
At the Norwalk Mentor Program, we are able to keep the average per child cost down below the national average. Even while providing above average care. For $750 per year, you can become one of our HEROES by helping sponsor one of these matches. Your annual donation will be used for a number of expenses, including general operating costs, events throughout the year for mentors and mentees to attend, and workshops that help mentors make the most of their time with their students. While your donation of $750 is for one year, we hope that you will continue to support the program on an annual basis.
With Your Sponsorship You Get:
- The name, grade, hobbies and a photo of your student
- A note from your student twice a year, giving you an update and thanking you
- Annual acknowledgement on our website, social media, and recognition in our End-of-Year Report
- An opportunity to spend time with your mentor/mentee match at the Norwalk Mentor Program’s annual events
Children Are Our Priority
We manage our program with the highest standards by insisting that all of our individual HEROES sponsors undergo a background check. Although contact will be minimal with the sponsored child, we set the bar high and want to ensure that each and every one of our children are safe. It only takes a couple of minutes to fill out the forms, and you will be ready to help a child be the best he or she can be!
